Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy’s 700 silhouette played a big role in triggering the “dad shoe” or “chunky sneaker” trend, thanks to the thick and comfortable Boost sole structure, and the upper made of many panels. Reminiscent of the lines of the 90s, the style of this sneaker can be spotted immediately.

The third generation of the Yeezy 700 series has a very different from the look of the v1 and v2 700s. Instead of the “dad shoe” trend, it follows the futuristic direction, which is mostly due to the “Alien-like” cage running across the entire side of the sneaker. There are however elements that link to previous generations, such as the characteristic stitching on the upper that has already debuted on the v2s. An important change is that for some reason Kanye didn’t include Boost soles for this sneaker.
