General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

Please read our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) carefully, because you accept them by finalizing your order. If you have any questions, ask our customer service before finalizing your order!

1. General information about the consumer contract created between us with the purchase

The purchase of a product or products (hereinafter: "Product") offered in the True To Sole webshop (hereinafter: "Website") is between TTS HEADQUARTERS Zrt. (hereinafter "Service" or "we") and you as a consumer (hereinafter "Buyer" or between "you" and collectively "Parties") is considered a consumer contract concluded electronically, in absentia (hereinafter referred to as the Contract). The General Terms and Conditions contain the rights and obligations of the Buyer and the Service Provider, the conditions for the creation of the Contract, the performance deadlines, the delivery and payment conditions, the liability rules, and the conditions for exercising the right of withdrawal. We have the right to change the GTC, so read it before every order. The amended General Terms and Conditions are valid from the time of publication on the Website, and do not affect orders confirmed before this. The Agreement is not considered to be in writing, and we do not file it. The language of the Agreement is Hungarian. In particular, the following legislation applies to the Agreement: 1997 CLV. law on consumer protection; CVIII of 2001 Act on certain issues of electronic commercial services and services related to the information society; Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.); Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26) on the detailed rules of contracts between the consumer and the business; (IV. 29.) NGM decree on the procedural rules for dealing with warranty and guarantee claims for things sold under a contract between a consumer and a business.

1.1 Partial invalidity

If any point of these GTC is legally invalid or incomplete, the other points of the contract will remain valid and the applicable legal provisions will apply instead of the invalid or incorrect part.

1.2 Essential properties of the products

We provide detailed information on the essential properties of the products that can be ordered on the Website in the descriptions of each product. The data and images on the product page are informative. The images are sometimes illustrations, the colors shown on the screen may differ slightly from the actual color of the product.
New, used and resale products can be purchased on the website.

If a product is used, it is indicated in the product description.

Our resell products are original, never-worn products that are not considered new and come from an official reseller, and are considered legally used products only because of their resale (resell). They are not covered by warranty, but you can assert your warranty rights in the same way as in the case of other products purchased on the Website, with one difference: the warranty claim expires within one year from the date of delivery! Of course, You also have the right of withdrawal according to the 45/2014. (II. 26.) § 20 of the Government Decree, that is, within 14 calendar days you can withdraw from the contract without reason and return the product, in point 6 ("Information about your right of withdrawal" ) according to detailed rules.

1.3 Prices

The prices in the webshop are displayed in Hungaran Forints (HUF), euros (EUR), lei (RON) and in Czech crowns (CZK), based on our current exchange rate. The prices always include VAT. The final price consists of the price of the Product and the delivery and handling fee. There is a possibility that an incorrect price may be displayed on the Website due to a typo or technical error. This is the case when there is a noticeable difference compared to the well-known, generally accepted price of a product. In the event of an incorrect price, we cannot accept the order (in the legal sense, the Buyer's offer). In case of an order placed at the wrong price, we will contact you by e-mail or phone and inform you of the correct price. If you do not wish to order the product at the stated correct price, no action from your side is needed, no Contract is created. If you accept the correct price you can submit a new order.

1.4 Behavior codex

We do not have a code of conduct in accordance with the Act on the Prohibition of Unfair Commercial Practices towards Consumers.

1.5 Copyrights

LXXVI of 1999 on copyright. Act (hereinafter: Szt.), the Website, including its individual content elements, especially texts, images, videos, as well as their arrangement and the Website code, is considered a copyrighted work, so all parts of it are protected by copyright. It is forbidden to use the website without our permission, or to use any application that can be used to modify the website or any part of it. Even with our consent, any material from the website and its database can only be taken by referring to the website and clearly indicating the source.

2.The process of establishing the Agreement

2.1 Product selection

You can view the products by browsing through the categories of the search engine or the menu bar. On each product page, you can see the essential characteristics of the products (material, color, technical details, sizing, size selection) and product images. The product images are illustrations, the colors on the screen and in reality may differ slightly.

2.2 Add product to cart

If you want to buy one or more products, click on the "ADD TO CART" button on the product page. By adding something to the basket, you are not obliged to buy and pay for it.

2.3  Viewing and modifying the contents of the basket

You can always see how many products are in the cart and the total amount of the cart in the "CART" menu item in the header. By clicking on the "CART" button, you can modify the contents of your basket until the finalization of the order: you can remove the product already in it (even all of it, emptying it completely), you can add another product or products, you can change the number of products you want to order with the plus and minus buttons. If you want to order the products in the basket, click on the "CONTINUE" button.

2.4 Entering data

By pressing the "CONTINUE" button, you will be taken to the Cashier page. With the buttons at the bottom of the page, you can navigate back and forth in the process, or you can even interrupt the purchase. You can decide to buy with or without login. If you haven't logged in yet, you can do it here by entering your previously registered e-mail address and password. Enter your name and shipping address. In the following steps, select the delivery and payment methods, and you can also use your coupon code here. If the billing address does not match the shipping address, enter the billing information. After finalizing all of this, the "Order summary" follows.

2.5 Finalization of the order

It is very important that you review the order before finalizing it and make sure that all the information is correct. In order to finalize the order, you must read and accept these GTC and accept the payment obligation associated with the order. Press the "CONTINUE" button. In a legal sense, this is your Offer to us. If we do not confirm this as described in point 2.7, you will be released from your obligation to bid.

2.6 Processing and confirmation of your order and creation of the Contract

Upon receipt of your order, you will receive an automatic information e-mail containing all the important data of your order. From a legal point of view, this does not yet mean our acceptance of your Offer or the creation of a Contract between you and us. If this information e-mail does not arrive within 24 hours, or if you see that this information email contains some incorrect data (misspelled name, incorrect address, incorrect product), please contact our customer service immediately. If we can fulfill your order, we will confirm it by e-mail, from a legal point of view, this means the creation of the Contract between you and us.

2.7 Impossibility of fulfilling your order, partial fulfillment

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that possible technical errors on the Website, or factors that may arise during the processing of the order that make it impossible to fulfill your order (for example, an incorrect price displayed on the Website due to a technical error or human inattention, an administrative error, an unexpected shortage of stock on the product before it is sent out discovered factory defect, force majeure event). In such cases, we reserve the right to partially or completely reject orders that have already been confirmed. In such a case, we will contact you immediately in order to find a solution.


If we can only partially fulfill your order, we will always discuss this with you in advance, and we will only deliver if you accept the partial fulfillment. If you have paid for the Product or Products in advance, we will refund you the full purchase price within 4 working days!

2.8 Safe use of the online store

Please keep your e-mail address and phone number up-to-date and notify us of any changes. We recommend that you only use an e-mail address to which only you can access at any time. Do not share the password associated with your e-mail address with anyone else and change it regularly.


We recommend that you enter a password in the online store that you do not use elsewhere. If anyone requests your username, password, bank card details or other data on our behalf or with reference to us, do not respond to them and notify us of any such attempts at support@truetosole.hu.

2.9 Options for correcting data entry errors

2.10 Responsibility for the accuracy of the data provided

Please note that you are responsible for the truthfulness and correctness of the data provided during the order. You must bear our costs or damages resulting from incorrect or inaccurate data entry. We exclude our responsibility for performance based on inaccurate data entry. If you entered your e-mail address incorrectly or if your e-mail service provider is permanently or temporarily malfunctioning, or your e-mail storage space is full, and any of these prevent the delivery of our order confirmation, it may also prevent the conclusion of the Agreement.

3. Payment methods


3.1 Payment when ordering by card

You can pay with Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron cards. Payment by card is free of charge for you. For Maestro and Visa Electron cards, the issuing bank determines whether they can be used for online purchases. If you are not sure, ask your bank's customer service before buying! Card payment is provided by Shopify Payments.

All card payments are made in the indicated currency. Card payment takes place on a secure payment page provided by Shopify Payments, where you start the transaction by entering your bank card details. After entering the card data, you must check the correctness of the data. The processing of the transaction starts in the payment processing systems. You will be notified by e-mail about the result of the payment.

Tips for secure bank card payments

We do not have access to your data entered on the payment page, we only receive confirmation of the success or failure of the payment. Never enter your card number, expiration date or the three-digit CVC2/CVV2 code on the back of your card outside of the secure payment page (e.g. by e-mail, message, phone)! We never ask for card data in this way, so if anyone were to ask you for the above data on our behalf, it is probably a phishing attempt. Do not enter the data and notify us and your card-issuer bank immediately!

3.2 Payment upon receipt (cash on delivery)

You can also pay for your order when you receive the package. Cash on delivery is only available in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. You can only pay in cash with the courier.

4. Shipping methods

4.1 Home delivery in Hungary

You can have your order delivered to a Hungarian address. Our contracted logistics partner is GLS General Logistics Systems Hungary Kft. and in accordance with legal obligations delivery service by Magyar Posta is also available.

When we hand over your package for delivery, you will receive a delivery notification by e-mail, and then further information about the delivery on the day of delivery.

Limitation of free shipping to the first delivery

Free home delivery/collection only applies to the first delivery. In the case of resending due to non-acceptance, a delivery fee is payable.

4.2 Home delivery outside Hungary

We deliver your order to any country, you can find out about the delivery prices below:

  • Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia: 5490 Ft (€14)

  • Other countries in the world outside Europe: 19,990 Ft (€50)

5. Completion date

The general deadline for orders is indicated in the product description. In case of no indication the general delivery deadline is 30 days. This delivery deadline is informative, the expected delivery time of the specific order will be sent in the order confirmation e-mail.

5.1 48H EXPRESS SHIPPING

In the case of products marked with "48H EXPRESS SHIPPING", orders placed on working days will be packed and handed over to the courier service for delivery within 48 hours.

The dimensions of a product may differ as to whether "48H EXPRESS SHIPPING" is available.

Orders placed on a holiday are packed and delivered on the first working day.


If the order also contains a product that is not covered by the "48H EXPRESS SHIPPING" option, the delivery deadline specified in point 5 applies to the fulfillment of the order.

6. Information about your right of withdrawal

45/2014. (II. 26.) According to § 20 of the Government Decree, you have the right to withdraw from the Contract without giving reasons. In short, this means that under the conditions and obligations listed below, you can return the product ordered on the Website to us at your own expense, and we will refund the full purchase price of the product, as well as the delivery and handling fee.

6.1 Deadline for indicating your intention to withdraw

You can notify us of your intention to cancel immediately after we have confirmed your order, you do not need to wait for the product to be received. You must clearly inform us of your intention to cancel within 14 calendar days of receiving the product, which you should do in writing by e-mail or by registered letter. It is your responsibility to prove that you have declared within the deadline. You have the opportunity to declare your withdrawal within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the product. If your order contained more items and they were delivered at different times, this 14-day period starts from the date of receipt of the last delivered item of the order.

6.3 Obligations and conditions when exercising the right of withdrawal

6.3.1 Confirmation of your withdrawal statement

We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal statement in writing (usually by e-mail). If you made your declaration electronically and you do not receive a confirmation from us within 3 working days, please repeat it by registered mail, attaching a copy of the e-mail you sent.

6.3.2 Return of product

If the product has a "True to Sole Authenticity tag" certifying authenticity, we will only take back a product on which the tag is intact and has not been removed.


You must send the product back to our address at your own expense within 14 calendar days at the latest from the date of your declaration of withdrawal, using a delivery method that reliably proves the fact and time of dispatch. You must be able to prove that you have delivered within the deadline.

6.3.3 Refund

If you withdraw from the Contract on the basis of the above, we will refund the full purchase price, including the standard delivery fee, within 14 calendar days of becoming aware of the withdrawal at the latest. If you have used free shipping, shipping costs will not be refunded. We would like to inform you that if you have used a more expensive delivery method than the standard delivery price, we will only refund the standard delivery fee. You will receive the refund in the same way as you paid it. If you specifically agree to this during our negotiations, we can also make the refund using a different payment method.


We would like to draw your attention to the fact that if you enter your bank account number or postal address incorrectly or inaccurately, we cannot take responsibility for any delay or failure to refund. We have the right to withhold the refund until the returned product has reached us, or you cannot prove beyond all doubt that you have sent it. Of these two, we take into account the earlier date. You must bear the cost of the return, we cannot accept cash on delivery or "recipient pays" shipments.

6.4 Depreciation

We would like to point out that you are responsible for the depreciation resulting from use that exceeds the use necessary to determine the nature, properties and operation of the product: you are entitled to a full refund only if the product and its packaging remain undamaged, like new, in a condition that can be resold. In the case of shoes, this means an undamaged shoe box, and only clean shoes that have been tried on indoors and the complete presence of any other accessories in the box (such as shoe laces, labels, insoles, accessories). If the product you returned has visible signs of use, dirt, or its contents are incomplete, we can only refund a reduced amount. The reduction of the refund is determined based on the current condition of the product and packaging. If, due to one of the above reasons, we are unable to provide a full refund, we will contact you in writing via one of the contact details provided in the cancellation statement or at the time of the order and provide the amount of the refund along with a justification. If you do not agree with the amount of the refund, you have the right to file a complaint as specified in the Complaints section of these GTC.

6.5 Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that you cannot exercise your right of withdrawal in accordance with § 29 of Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26). in the cases included in paragraph (1), especially in the case of points "c" and "e": (c) "in the case of a non-pre-manufactured product that was produced based on the instructions or at the express request of the consumer, or in the case of a product that is clearly tailored to the consumer; (e) "with regard to a product with closed packaging, which cannot be returned after being opened after delivery for reasons of health protection or hygiene; If you pre-order a product in accordance with point 11 of the General Terms and Conditions, you may also not exercise your right of withdrawal based on the provisions of point "a": (a) "in the case of a contract for the provision of a service, after the performance of the service as a whole, if the company has expressed the performance by the consumer, started with his prior consent, and the consumer has acknowledged that he loses his right to cancel after the completion of the service as a whole;"

If the product comes with a "True to Sole Authenticity tag" and it is damaged or you remove the tag, we will not be able to accept your cancellation request.

7. Complaint handling

For us, the most important thing is that you are satisfied with both the purchased product and the shopping experience. If you would still raise an objection or make a consumer complaint about the product or our service, you can do so at the following contact details:

We strive to remedy your complaint as soon as possible, within 30 days at the latest, and any repair or replacement within 15 days at the latest. If the correction is not possible within 15 days, we will notify you.


If you do not agree with the handling of your consumer complaint, or the investigation of your complaint is not possible, we will record your complaint and our position on it, and we will send you a copy of it by e-mail.


If you contact us with a quality defect, we will record the claim and confirm receipt of the product with a receipt. We keep the records for five years and present them at the request of the inspection authorities.

8. Your legal enforcement options

If we are unable to resolve your consumer complaint in an appropriate manner during our negotiations, the following legal enforcement options are available to you:

8.1 Filing a complaint with the competent consumer protection authorities in your place of residence

The first-level official tasks for consumer protection in Hungary are carried out by the district offices, a list of these can be found by clicking here. They evaluate the complaint and decide whether it is justified to conduct a consumer protection procedure in the case.

8.2 Appeal to a conciliation body

With your consumer complaint, you are also entitled to contact the competent Conciliation Board of your place of residence, which is responsible for the out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes, counseling and attempts to reach a settlement. 8.3 Online dispute resolution platform

The European Union has created a website where consumers and traders can settle their legal disputes related to online shopping without going to court. Here, it is possible to choose the dispute resolution body that you want to entrust with the handling of the complaint by mutual agreement. 8.4 Initiate legal proceedings

In connection with the Agreement concluded between us, you are entitled to assert your claims arising from a consumer dispute in court within the framework of civil proceedings under the Civil Code.

9. Accessory warranty, product warranty, warranty

This point was prepared on the basis of the authorization of Section 9 (3) of Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26) on the basis of Annex No. 3 of Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26).

9.1 Accessories warranty

In which case can you exercise your accessory warranty right? If we perform incorrectly, you can assert a warranty claim against us pursuant to the Civil Code. according to its rules.

What rights do you have based on your warranty claim?

You can choose from the following accessory warranty claims: You can request a repair or replacement, unless the fulfillment of the claim you have chosen is impossible or would involve disproportionate additional costs compared to the fulfillment of another demand for us. If you did not or could not ask for the repair or replacement, you can request a proportional reduction of the purchase price you paid, or you can repair the defect at our expense, or you can have it repaired by someone else or - as a last resort - you can also withdraw from the contract. You can switch from your chosen accessory warranty right to another, but you bear the cost of the switch, unless it was justified or we gave a reason for it.

What is the deadline for asserting your accessory warranty claim?

You can assert your product warranty claim within two years of the product being placed on the market by the manufacturer. After this deadline, you will lose this right.

Who can you enforce your accessory warranty claim against?

You can assert your warranty claim against us as a Service Provider.

What other conditions are there for asserting your accessory warranty rights?

Within six months from the date of delivery, there are no other conditions for validating your accessory warranty claim other than reporting the defect, only proof that you purchased the product from us. However, after six months from the date of performance, you are also obliged to prove that the defect you recognized was already present at the time of performance.

9.2 Product warranty

In what cases can you use your product warranty right?

In the event of a product defect, you can - according to your choice - assert an accessory warranty claim or a product warranty claim.

What rights do you have based on your product warranty claim?

As a product warranty claim, you can only request the repair or replacement of the defective product.

In which case is the product considered defective?

The product is defective if it does not meet the quality requirements in force at the time it is placed on the market or if it does not have the properties described by the manufacturer.

What is the deadline for asserting your product warranty claim?

You can assert your product warranty claim within two years of the product being placed on the market by the manufacturer. After this deadline, you will lose this right.

Against whom and under what other conditions can you enforce your product warranty claim?

You can only exercise your product warranty claim against the manufacturer or distributor of the product. You must prove the defect of the product in the event of a product warranty claim.

In what cases is the manufacturer (distributor) exempt from product warranty obligations?

The manufacturer (distributor) is only released from its product warranty obligation if it can prove that:

  • the product was not manufactured or marketed as part of its business activities, or
  • the defect was not detectable according to the state of science and technology at the time of placing it on the market or
  • the defect of the product results from the application of legislation or mandatory official regulations.

    It is sufficient for the manufacturer (distributor) to prove one reason for exemption. We would like to inform you that due to the same fault, you cannot assert an accessory warranty claim and a product warranty claim at the same time, in parallel with each other. However, if your product warranty claim is successfully enforced, you can assert your accessory warranty claim for the replaced product or repaired part against the manufacturer.

    9.3 Warranty

    In which case can you use your warranty right?

    151/2003 on the mandatory warranty for certain consumer durables in case of faulty performance. (IX. 22.) Government Decree No. 1 a mandatory warranty applies to new consumer durables listed in its appendix.

    What rights and within what time frame are they entitled under warranty?

    The warranty claim can be asserted within the warranty period. If the obligor does not comply with his obligation to the claimant within the appropriate time limit, the warranty claim can be asserted in court within three months of the expiration of the deadline set in the notice, even if the warranty period has already expired. Failure to meet this deadline will result in loss of rights.

    In order to validate the warranty claim, the rules for the exercise of accessory warranty rights must also be properly applied.

    The warranty period depends on the purchase price of the purchased product: one year between HUF 10,000 and HUF 100,000, two years between HUF 100,001 and HUF 250,000, three years over HUF 250,000.
    Failure to meet this deadline will result in loss of rights. The warranty period begins on the day the consumer product is handed over to the consumer, or if the company or its representative performs the commissioning. The warranty period is extended by the time during which you could not use the product as intended due to the defect.

    If, during the first repair or within 30 days of the notification of the defect, it turns out that the product cannot be repaired, or that it has already been repaired three times and fails for the fourth time, we will replace the product or refund the purchase price.

    When is the Service Provider released from its warranty obligation?

    The Service Provider is released from its warranty obligation only if it proves that the cause of the defect arose after performance. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that due to the same defect, you cannot assert an accessory warranty and warranty claim, or a product warranty and warranty claim at the same time, in parallel with each other, but otherwise you are entitled to the rights arising from the warranty independently of the accessory and product warranty entitlements.

    10. Rules for resell products

    Our resell products are original, never-worn (!) products that are not considered new and come from an official reseller, and are considered legally used products only because of their resale (resell). The warranty does not apply to them, but you can assert your accessory warranty rights in the same way as in the case of a new product, with one difference: the accessory warranty claim expires within one year from the date of delivery! Of course, the 45/2014. (II. 26.) You also have the right of withdrawal according to § 20 of the Government Decree, that is, within 14 calendar days you can withdraw from the contract without reason and return the product, in point 6 ("Information about your right of withdrawal" ) according to detailed rules.

    11. Pre-order conditions

    You can use our pre-order service for products that are not in stock, but are most likely available. To the best of our ability, we will attempt to purchase the product under the conditions and deadlines specified in this point.

    11.1 Submit a pre-order request

    You can submit a pre-order request in person at the True to Sole store (1052 Budapest, Régi posta utca 5.) or on the pre-order page of the truetosole.hu website. In order to pre-order, you need to accept the True to Sole pre-order conditions in point 11 of our General Terms and Conditions, as well as those contained in our Data Management Information.

    11.2 Booking payment and pre-order confirmation

    We will process your pre-order request within a maximum of 5 working days, i.e. we will assess the possibilities of purchase and estimate the price at which we can purchase the product. If the product you wish to pre-order is likely to be available, we will send your order number and estimated price, as well as information about deposit payment, to the e-mail address provided in your pre-order request. To confirm the pre-order, a deposit is required, which you can pay by bank transfer within 2 days to the specified bank account number, specifying the order number in the note. The amount of the deposit depends on the estimated price of the product to be pre-ordered:

    We will confirm the pre-order upon receipt of the deposit/reservation in our bank account, and we will try to purchase the product for you within 30 days from this date.

    11.3 Purchase and receipt

    When we have procured the product for you and it is being delivered to our warehouse, we will send you a successful purchase notification. If we can only purchase the product above the estimated price, we will contact you. You can accept this final price or you have the right to cancel the pre-order and get the full amount of the reservation paid back. When the pre-ordered product arrives in our warehouse, we will inform you about the details of store pick-up and home delivery. In the case of in-store pickup, you can pay the remaining amount in cash or by credit card upon pickup. In the case of home delivery, you can pay the remaining amount in cash to the courier.

    11.4 Cancellation, Failure and Other Terms

    Until we send you a successful purchase notification, you can cancel your pre-order without giving any reason and receive the full amount of the deposit back. If you cancel your pre-order after the successful purchase notification (or acceptance of the final price), the deposit you paid will not be refunded, as the pre-order and the purchase carried out on the basis of it are considered a contract for the provision of services, and according to Art. 45/2014 (II. 26.) Section 29, paragraph (1) point a) of the Government Decree shall govern. If the 30-day purchase commitment deadline has passed, we will discuss with you whether to extend the purchase for another 30 days, or whether you will cancel the pre-order. In case of cancellation, we will refund the entire amount of the reservation to you. The same conditions and rules apply to any extended commitment period. Since the procurement is influenced by circumstances beyond our control, if the procurement is unsuccessful within the commitment or mutually agreed extended commitment period, it is considered a circumstance not attributable to us, therefore only the deposit and not double the deposit will be returned to you. We cannot provide a size exchange for a product purchased in advance.
