Description
The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid is not the first Air Force 1 that appeared in the collaboration of the two brands, as the AF1 Low model was already in the first The Ten collection, followed by the OW MCA in several colorways. However, this is the first Air Force 1 Mid model that has been redesigned almost "unrecognizably".
Instead of the usual leather upper part, it is made of a strong, black synthetic material, and the translucent pipe is fixed with typical Off-White orange stitching. In addition to the basic lacing, a gray lacing was added with a colored fastener. The tongue has a graffiti-style Air inscription, and the velcro fastening the shaft is made of a unique material. Other familiar Off-White signatures also appear on the sneaker, such as the lettering and zip-tie.
On the sole of the shoe, the colored spikes familiar from the Off-White Terra Kiger model appear on the front and sides, and one more twist: in 1982, the Air was the heart and soul of the Air Force 1, but it was not visible, now a small window has been opened for it.

The Nike Air Force 1 is the sneaker that, after its release, the winged sneaker culture was never the same. It was released in 1982 as the first basketball shoe to feature an Air insole, and this was not the only technological innovation. It's no wonder that it soon became cool to wear it on the street as well as on the basketball court. Since then, the number of versions has already exceeded two thousand, and it's not just about colorways: Nike has completely rethought this timeless model many times, some of them can practically be considered designer sneakers.
Streetwear fashion, the big gun of Off-White, would certainly not be here without Virgil Abloh, who died tragically in 2021. Virgil founded his designer brand in 2013 and entered the world of streetwear fashion at the same time. The iconic brand has many collaborations with big brands such as Nike, Levi's, IKEA and Evian, and its popularity is still unbroken.
