Young Thug, aka Jeffrey Lamar Williams, also started his rise to fame from the "rap capital" of the USA, Atlanta. Growing up in a troubled and challenging urban environment, Young Thug's rebellious spirit has been a major influence on hip-hop and trap music since his emergence.

He founded the streetwear brand Sp5der in 2019, which has become known primarily for its sweatsuits. Young Thug's unconventional and unique approach to streetwear is evident in his use of bright colours, glittery stones, spider webs, stars and gang motifs: a Sp5der t-shirt, hoodie or sweatpants is instantly recognisable!

Speaking of gang motifs, the rapper was arrested in Atlanta in 2022 on charges that he led a street gang called YSL (which is his label by the way). Young Thug has been in jail ever since (his Business is Business album was released "from here in the summer of 2023) and has had several trials. Many of his fans show their support by wearing Sp5der outfits and sharing "free young thug, "free jeffrey" messages on social media.

In the True to Sole shops and webshop you are guaranteed to find only authentic Sp5der products. Beware of suspiciously cheap websites, because there are a lot of bad quality fakes on the market!
