Who doesn't know Travis Scott?
Travis Scott is one of the most popular rappers of the last few years, he has captivated a global audience of young people with his trap songs, we've written about him before, here on our blog. Travis is not only an excellent trap artist, but also a good businessman: his popularity, which is also due to his music and his personality, has been turned into money with good business sense.
Travis Scott merch products
Among sneakerheads, almost all Nike collab shoes have become grails, and he has also done collaborations with a number of big brands that may seem surprising at first (e.g. Reese's Puffs cereal or McDonald's) but their overwhelming popularity just proves Travis.
Travis' own merch and products made in collaboration with other brands are also very popular. All of these reflect his dressing style, which likes to combine black, brown and olive green and worn-out primary colours with bright and startling colours and patterns and a kind of retro nineties feel that is reminiscent of the dawn of digital pop culture.
In April 2020, as the world began to get used to the lockdown and postponement and cancellation of events, the popular Fortnite battle royale game hosted a virtual Travis Scott concert, featuring a giant virtual figure of the artist, who walked all over the island, wearing his own Air Jordan 1 sneaker of course. Fans who joined the Fortnite concert were able to enjoy their favourite Travis songs in unique environments such as space and underwater. In fact, his joint project with Kid Cudi, The Scotts, also made its debut here.
The Travis Scott Astronomical merch collection consists of many items that mostly represent specific Fortnite environments, with a variety of colours and patterns, Cactus Jack and Fortnite motifs.
Cactus Trails Association
Travis Scott often uses desert motifs in his merch clothes and as we know, Cactus Jack Records is named after a desert plant, the cactus :D Travis Scott has taken this further in 2020 with a mini-collection for the Cactus Trails Association, which is an imaginary company that organizes desert tours. These clothes and accessories are dominated by sand and earth colours, with desert trail running and rock climbing motifs, as if they've really brought the atmosphere of a small nineties American outdoor company into the 21st century.
