If you see three stripes, it can only be adidas! adidas is one of the most well-known global sports brands, preserving its German roots for over 120 years. The brother duo Rudolf and Adolf Dassler first experimented with athletic shoes in their hometown of Herzogenaurach, and after their (rather unpleasant) split, Adolf Dassler launched what is now adidas. Since then, adidas has made its mark in almost every sport and has given the world iconic sneakers like the Stan Smith, the Superstar sneaker, the adilette slide, the Ultra Boost, and the currently resurging Samba model. And that’s not even mentioning the Yeezy models, which unfortunately also ended in a split between Kanye West and the three-stripe brand.
